"The MUSIC ROOM"
EXPOSITION of PUBLISHING MUSICAL
COMPOSITIONS AND COLLECTIONS
OF MUSIC FOR GUITAR
"La Stanza della Musica" is the title of an exhibition dedicated to Maestro Angelo Gilardino's commitment as a composer and as editorial manager of the "collection of music for guitar" and of the "Andrés Segovia Archive", created by Bèrben of Ancona under the guide by Fabio Boccosi, whose ownership has been for a few years
passed into the hands of Curci of Milan.
Angelo Gilardino for over thirty years has solicited the best composers to write for the classical guitar, works which he has reviewed and fingered and which have been printed with the characteristic carmine red cover.
The list of compositions represents an essential point of reference for the literature of original music for guitar of the twentieth century, for the quality and prestige of those who have accepted Gilardino's invitation and have ventured into the complex world of the six-stringed instrument.

One of the most important publishing activities of the last century was the publication of a series of compositions recovered by Angelo Gilardino in the archive of the great Spanish guitarist Andrés Segovia.
To the artist from Linares many composers dedicated pieces that the master didn't have the time to revise and publish; the manuscripts therefore remained in the archive managed by the "Andrès Segovia Foundation"
until Angelo Gilardino, called by Signora Emilia Segovia to direct the foundation, was able to recover them.
A long and careful revision work followed which allowed the classical guitar repertoire to be enriched with works of the highest quality, such as the sonata by Juan Manèn, brought together in a collection under the name of "The Andrès Segovia Archive".

The exhibition will be structured in such a way as to allow the visitor to be able to make contact with a large part of the material belonging to the two collections, in an installation that will make use of handwritten letters of particular objects to illustrate the long editorial "Journey" that Angelo Gilardino has accomplished as part of its existence.

Finally, a particular exhibition space will be created to present the international discography of Gilardino's compositions.
The exhibition will therefore be a mix between the presence of scores and concrete objects, virtualized visions together and listening and reading points.
