Starting from mid-December 2024 will start operating in Vercelli the
“INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY ANGELOGILARDINO”
dedicated to the memory, study and dissemination of the art of master Angelo Gilardino.
The ACADEMY will offer an annual study program consisting of a series of master classes entrusted to the most prestigious teachers on the national and international scene.
The academic year 2024 . 2025 will see the participation of some of the foreign concert artists recognized throughout the world as the highest expression of guitar technique and art.
They will hold master classes for the students of the academy and concerts included in the second edition of the “Il Legno che Canta” Festival organized, starting from November 2024, by the Angelo Gilardino Association. The holders of scholarships assigned by the Academy and a limited number of other students who, having duly submitted an application for participation, will be considered suitable by the examining commission will be able to participate as active students. The commission will evaluate the study program proposed by each student, which must include some compositions by Maestro Angelo Gilardino, and which will be the subject of work in the master classes.
REGISTRATIONS
To register as an active student or an auditor, it is necessary to send a request to the ACADEMY email address , complete with your personal data, contact details and a detailed curriculum vitae.
Anyone wishing to attend the master classes as an active student must also send a video recording of a piece composed by Maestro Angelo Gilardino.
The request must be sent no later than October 30, 2024 to the Academy's email address.The examining commission will choose which candidates will be admitted to attend the lessons as active students.
Students who have attended all the master classes of the academic year 2024.2025 will receive a final diploma of attendance with the evaluation of merit, relating to the quality of the work done and the results obtained.
The students will be called to hold or participate in various concerts organized by the Academy as an integral and formative part of the proposed educational path.
SCHOLARSHIPS
The “INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY ANGELO GILARDINO” will annually offer 10 scholarships (5 for active students and 5 for auditors) to attend all master classes, seminars and conferences of the academic year 2024 . 2025 free of charge. The scholarships will be assigned through a selection process in which interested parties can participate by sending a video recording (made according to the methods that will be detailed in the competition announcement), with the interpretation of a composition by maestro Angelo Gilardino.
The file, accompanied by your personal data and a curriculum vitae, must be sent no later than October 30, 2024 to the academy's email address.
The examining commission will choose, at its sole discretion, which candidates to award the scholarship to attend the lessons as active students or as auditors, completely free of charge.
Thanks to the collaboration with the Municipality of Vercelli, accredited students will be able to request accommodation to stay in Vercelli for free.
